Can I apply if my degree is from a non-English-speaking country?
Updated at Feb 6, 2026, Viewed 0 times
Yes, you can absolutely apply to the Atlanta College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (ACLAS) even if your previous degree was earned in a non-English-speaking country. We welcome students from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds, and your eligibility is not limited by the language of instruction of your prior degree.

Do I Need to Prove My English Skills?

  • No formal English test results are required (such as IELTS, TOEFL, or Duolingo) to apply to ACLAS.

    • However, all students are expected to have at least a basic understanding of English proficiency in order to follow course content, and complete the assessments.

What If I Want to Take the Duolingo Test?

You are not required to submit a Duolingo test result for ACLAS admission. Our collaboration with Duolingo only provides a discounted price for students who choose to take the test for their own needs, such as applications to other universities, work opportunities, or visa purposes.
